A country rule works best when it matches the size of the content you want to control. WPLocation offers several places to apply one: an entire page, a group of posts, one post, or a section inside a page. Here is a simple way to choose.
Use a page rule for a whole page
Choose a page rule when the entire page should be available only in certain countries, or unavailable in certain countries. A regional landing page is one possible example. The Pages guide explains where to select countries and choose whether to include or exclude the page.
Use a category rule for a group of posts
If several posts belong to the same regional topic, a category rule can cover that WordPress category together. This is easier to review than setting the same rule on each post. See the Categories guide for the category controls.
Use an individual post rule for an exception
When only one article needs different visibility, set its rule on the post rather than changing the whole category. The Posts guide shows where to find and test an individual post rule in the WPLocation sidebar.
Use a shortcode for part of a page
Sometimes most of a page should remain the same for everyone, while one block of content should vary by country. In that case, review the shortcode guide. It covers including or excluding content inside a post or page without applying a rule to the entire page.
Check the country selection before saving
An empty country selection applies no location restriction. Before saving an include or exclude rule, check the selected countries and the action you chose. Test one allowed and one blocked country, then check the public content after purging caches. WooCommerce product-category rules are not included in the current Free plugin.
